Awesome photos.
Thank you Debra.
WOW! These murals are spectacular – thanks!
Thank you for commenting Marilyn. I agree!
Beautiful murals and photography… jc
The majority of these murals are in a neighbourhood quite far from the centre and is considered not very safe (but not very dangerous either). When I saw a few pictures online about this open air gallery to uplift the neighbourhood – an action that the local community is very proud of – I decided to make the effort to go out there and explore and I came away with these images – some of the murals were much more impressive that I expected and glad that I am able to show them here. Thanks for your feedback, JC.
nice collection of murals. I’ve been a few times to santiago as well and indeed, nice masterpieces to find in Chile’s to capital( but to be honest: is Santiago is not a Street Art paradise like Buenos Aires). Great post!
Thank you for visiting, Ostend Nomad – yes, Smatiago is GREAT for street art! There is a lot to be found, just by walking around – here is another selection that I took on my previous visit to the city:

Buenos Aires is great too, but I have not explored all the barrios with street art yet – I will visit there soon to check it out!
Incredible artwork! I can’t imagine the effort and skill required to complete these murals.
Agreed Josh! I just don’t know how they do it on such a large scale – have always wondered about that. That’s why I think it’s always worth recording these works through photography before they disappear.
