“The Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception on San Cristóbal Hill is one of the principal places of worship for the Catholic Church of Chile, as well as being an icon of Santiago, Chile. It is notable in particular for a large statue of the Immaculate Conception, which is located at the summit of San Cristóbal Hill, some 863 meters above sea level.” – Wikipedia

Thanks for commenting Josh. Yes, I thought so too. It is probably a temporary exhibition – I could not find much information about it online, but it certainly provides colour and inspiration towards reflection on the (path)way up to the church and the statue higher above.

It does indeed add color. Too bad it isn’t permanent.

I’m still reading your essays on the Mayans. I don’t know why but the times we are living in are appropriate for this reading… jc

Thank you JC, Yes, I think we live in very particular times and what we see out there in the general reflection of society through the usual channels, is not what is really happening on a metaphysical or even a material level. There is a lot of reading between the lines necessary. I’m glad you are enjoying my series. I will have the next installment ready in a couple of weeks. You recent post, which I really enjoyed, is for me an example of reading between the lines.
